Publication date: September 16th 2016
Genres: Dystopian, New Adult, Supernatural
Since being discovered as Soulless, Nadia has become a target for both terrorist groups and government corporations. Now, her only hope for survival rests in the hands of the man sent out to kill her: Diesel, the Mad Dog terrorist.
Diesel is determined to free himself of the never ending curse of reincarnation and the haunting memories that plague his mind. But when his search leads him to Nadia, a greater desire stills him from taking her life.
Unable to see into Diesel’s cracking mind, Nadia instead puts her faith into his strength, fueled by eleven generations of unmatched rage and insanity. Their tight-rope relationship balances the two between life and death, love and rage, trust and betrayal.
Tension pulls at the hems of their dangerous companionship, and as time runs out all madmen must eventually make their choice.
Book two of the thrilling Immortal Gene series dives deeper into the danger of trusting your heart over your head.

There was one particular scene that I was saddened to delete. I had even attempted to somehow work it back in, but alas, it just didn’t serve the purpose that I needed.
And me, being so thorough, have completely deleted it as well. I do remember bits and pieces of it though.
In Soulless, Diesel and Nadia pull up to a large and wealthy mansion overlooking the ocean. Originally, Nadia and Diesel accidentally trip the alarm which sends them down into a secret wine cellar underneath the house. To help pass the time, Nadia and Diesel help themselves to the expensive alcohol collection and quickly get drunk. Nadia turns on the television to an ad about life insurance and begins mocking ‘what rich people’ worry about. My intention was to bring forward just how alienated she is from the outside world, and that many people only focus on trivial problems. She skips through the channels but stops when a famous popstar is singing on screen.
Nadia is immediately aggravated by the popstar’s glamorous life, and she makes comments about how people can be lured into worshiping the fake. In the video clip, Nadia watches men flock around the popstar and starts to think that’s what men want, an inhuman ideal of perfection. In a way to flirt with Diesel, Nadia mimics the popstars dance moves and dances around Diesel, only to have him silently watch her looking unimpressed. She stumbles over herself, accidentally hitting herself with the heavy wine bottle and eventually sits down.
It wasn’t until Nadia starts to show some vulnerability, that Diesel reacts to her and covers her in the blinds he tore off from the window. They sit next to each other glazing at the sunset, where Diesel goes into his personal history. There’s a moment where they almost kiss, until Nadia reveals the possibility of a Soulless and gets frightened by Diesel’s violent response. Similar to the version that made it to publication, Nadia goes to sleep fearing Diesel and fearing her future.
